Read article about kids who poach Parrots. Are these kids taking risks? Why or why not?

 

High level media Activities:

  •   Students compare Some of the resources they have found about life in Africa. Students make a tourist pamphlet for African Game Reserves. Students can use web authoring tools, or Word, or Claris Works.
  • Students work in pairs. One student takes on the role of a news reporter, and the other of one of the characters from the story. Students prepare an interview segment to be video taped.

Discussion Question: Describe a time in your life when you took a risk. Did your risk pay off?
